FFS, what does one’s sexuality have to do with being a murderer? The media astounds me! I guess Aussies still have a lot to learn if this type of reporting is indicative of the state of society.

Living with the double d’s
I couldn’t agree more. They use the word, “lesbian” as a pejorative and that is beyond wrong. Labeling them lesbian after saying the words, blood-thirsty is disgusting and only fuels homophobia and hate crimes.

Wow. How did I miss this in the news? By throwing in the lesbian status, the media are not only making negative references to the lesbian and gay community, they’re also not focusing on the issue at hand. This poor girl… murdered by her friends… that should be the point of the story.
What the fuck is wrong with people.
